Antalya Metropolitan Municipality provides equipment to Karaöz neighborhood

The Antalya Metropolitan Municipality has provided a dough kneading machine to the Karaöz neighborhood in the Aksu district following a social media request. Gülay Tokmak, a 57-year-old resident, contacted Deputy Mayor Büşra Özdemir via social media after seeing a post of the official preparing traditional yufka dough with local women.

Tokmak noted that her neighborhood lacked such equipment, which is particularly difficult for the older women in the area to use manually during winter food preparations. The municipality's Department of Agricultural Services fulfilled the request as part of its “Unu Sizden, Yoğurması Bizden” (The flour is from you, the kneading is from us) campaign, which aims to support production and ease daily tasks in rural neighborhoods.
