Antalya opens first Mathematics Campus in Muratpaşa

Antalya’s first Mathematics Campus has officially opened in the Çağlayan neighborhood. The project is a collaborative effort between the Muratpaşa Municipality and the Özne Education and Change Association.

The campus facility integrates the SUM Mathematics Museum with a municipal nursery, providing a space where children can learn mathematics through experimentation, inquiry, and problem-solving. During the opening ceremony, Muratpaşa Mayor Ümit Uysal emphasized the critical role of mathematics in the era of artificial intelligence, computers, and digital technologies. He noted that the country needs to rapidly close its gap in mathematical proficiency.

To further increase accessibility, the municipality announced it is developing a free digital portal designed for children aged 7 to 11, which will be accessible to users across Turkey.
