Antalya resident uncovers unlicensed food business after food poisoning

In Antalya's Muratpaşa district, a man named İbrahim Ay uncovered an unlicensed food operation after falling ill from a pasta dish ordered through an online delivery application. After consuming the meal, Ay experienced symptoms of poisoning, including vomiting and sweating.

Upon investigating the business address provided by the app, Ay discovered the location was an empty shop that had actually closed in 2022. His subsequent investigation revealed that the food was being prepared without any license from the Provincial Directorate of Agriculture and Forestry. While the individual involved claimed to the municipal police that the food was prepared in a local hotel kitchen rather than at home, the operation lacked proper legal authorization.

Ay filed formal complaints with the Muratpaşa Municipality, the Provincial Directorate of Agriculture and Forestry, and via the CİMER communication center. Municipal police officers inspected the site and filed reports, subsequently notifying the Tax Office and the Provincial Directorate of Agriculture and Forestry regarding the illegal activity.
