Antalya roadworks cause traffic delays for international delegates

Ongoing roadwork in the Kundu, Kemerağzı, and Lara regions of Antalya has led to significant traffic congestion. The delays are affecting international delegates attending the 77th International Astronautical Congress, as well as local tourists, hotel employees, and residents.

According to project signage, the work was scheduled to conclude by August 3, 2026, but delays have caused prolonged wait times for vehicles traveling between hotels and the congress venue. While some infrastructure projects in the Belek area have been completed in preparation for COP31, the specific works in the Kundu corridor continue to disrupt movement in the region.
