Antalya seeks to boost Chinese tourism via Fliggy partnership

Antalya Metropolitan Municipality Deputy Mayor Büşra Özdemir met with executives from Fliggy, a leading Chinese digital travel platform, to discuss increasing the city's visibility in the Chinese tourism market.

The meeting, which included Fliggy Vice President of International Relations Leon Li and International Relations Director Meina Huang, focused on developing digital strategies to attract more Chinese visitors. Key proposals include creating a dedicated Antalya page on the Fliggy platform, producing digital content tailored to the Chinese market, and launching seasonal promotional campaigns.

Deputy Mayor Özdemir emphasized that the goal is to move beyond the traditional ‘sun, sand, and sea’ perception by highlighting Antalya’s cultural and experiential values. Ozan Acar, an Executive Board Member at Trendyol, noted that Turkey currently holds a limited share of the Chinese market and highlighted the importance of these collaborative efforts to strengthen the city's international brand value.
