Antalya, Turkey, will host the 77th International Astronautical Congress (IAC 2026) from October 5–9, 2026. This marks the first time the event will be held in Turkey. Organized by the International Astronautical Federation (IAF), the congress will take place at the NEST Convention and Exhibition Center under the theme ‘The World Needs More Space’.
A major highlight of the event is the 3rd IAF Global Space Leaders Summit, scheduled for October 6 at the Gloria Sports Arena. This invitation-only summit will focus on the ‘New Space Age: Global Challenges, Strategic Opportunities, and Responsible Governance’.
High-level executives from major global space agencies are expected to attend, including representatives from NASA, the European Space Agency (ESA), the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO), and the Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency (JAXA), alongside the Turkish Space Agency (TUA). Discussions will cover various critical topics such as the lunar economy, orbital security, satellite technologies, deep space missions, and the legal and ethical dimensions of space activities.
