Antalya to host three major international summits on space, climate, and agriculture

Antalya, Turkey, is set to host three major international summits during the final three months of the year, covering space, climate change, and agriculture.

The 77th International Astronautical Congress (IAC 2026) will take place from October 5–9 at the Antalya NEST Congress Center. This event, coordinated by the Ministry of Industry and Technology and hosted by the Turkish Space Agency (TUA) and SAHA Istanbul, marks the first time the congress is being held in Turkey.

From November 9–20, the city will host the United Nations Climate Change Conference (COP31). The summit is expected to draw between 80,000 and 120,000 visitors from 196 countries, including nearly 100 heads of state and government and over 400 ministers. Antalya Governor Hulusi Şahin described it as the largest COP in history, noting it could generate $2 billion in economic activity. President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan is scheduled to attend on November 11–12.

Finally, the International Asian Seed Congress 2026 will be held from December 1–5. Organized by the Asian and Pacific Seed Association (APSA) under the auspices of the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry, the event will bring together approximately 1,500 stakeholders, including researchers and industry representatives.
