Indonesia Antam gold prices swing sharply in early August 2026
Indonesia’s state‑owned miner PT Aneka Tambang Tbk (Antam) saw its gold price fluctuate dramatically in the first week of August 2026. On 4 August the base price rose by Rp 50,000 per gram to Rp 2,679,000, while the buy‑back price climbed to Rp 2,490,000. Two days later, on 6‑7 August, the price fell by Rp 29,000 per gram to Rp 2,650,000, and the buy‑back price dropped to Rp 2,461,000.
Pegadaian’s online listings for 7 August showed Antam’s price alongside Galeri 24 and UBS, all declining to roughly Rp 2.63‑2.76 million per gram. The listings detail the same tax regime: purchases are subject to a 0.25 % PPh, and buy‑back transactions above Rp 10 million incur a 1.5 % (NPWP) or 3 % (non‑NPWP) PPh 22 levy.
These price movements reflect broader market reactions to global gold trends and domestic monetary conditions, influencing investors and retail buyers across Indonesia.
