Antapaccay partners with Aldeas Infantiles SOS Perú for recycling initiative
Antapaccay Mining Company has signed an institutional cooperation agreement with Aldeas Infantiles SOS Perú to support children and adolescents under the organization's care.
The partnership focuses on transforming recyclable waste from the company's facilities into financial resources. Antapaccay will provide usable solid waste, primarily cardboard and discarded plastic containers, which will be transported for commercialization and valuation. The resulting funds will be used by Aldeas Infantiles SOS Perú to support its institutional goals and the maintenance of the children in its care.
According to company representatives, the initiative aims to strengthen responsible waste management while providing social value. Artemio Pérez, senior manager of Social Management at Antapaccay, noted that the agreement gives additional meaning to waste management by converting unused materials into support for child protection.
