ANTARA aims to serve as Indonesia's gateway to AsiaNet network

During the AsiaNet Board Meeting in Singapore, ANTARA President Director Benny Siga Butarbutar proposed that cooperation among news agencies within the AsiaNet network should move beyond mere information distribution to focus on building trust and local understanding.

Butarbutar noted that while technological advancements, digital platforms, and artificial intelligence have accelerated the speed of information distribution, they cannot replace the nuanced understanding of a country's social context. He emphasized that national news agencies possess unique knowledge regarding language, culture, media character, and public sensitivity that technology cannot easily replicate.

Representing Indonesia, ANTARA aims to serve as a gateway connecting the AsiaNet network to the Indonesian information ecosystem, highlighting Indonesia's position as a dynamic market in Southeast Asia.
