Indonesia-China Media Cooperation Discussed at Jakarta’s ANTARA

ANTARA President Director Benny Siga Butarbutar said media will play a crucial role in deepening Indonesia‑China relations, adding that cooperation can span economics, politics, culture, tourism, education and journalism. He made the remarks after a delegation of Peking University scholars, led by Professor Wang Weijia, visited the ANTARA Heritage Center in Jakarta.

The two sides explored joint projects such as journalism school exchanges, shared curricula, research on strategic communication and mechanisms for media organisations to work together, especially in the context of rapid AI development. Both Benny and Wang expressed optimism that these initiatives will help new‑generation journalists promote the image of their countries and strengthen people‑to‑people ties.
