Ante Budimir leads Osasuna offense with record-breaking start

Osasuna striker Ante Budimir has delivered a prolific start to the 2024-2025 season, scoring seven of the team's ten goals through the first nine matches of the league. This performance accounts for 70% of the club's total offensive production, highlighting a significant tactical dependency on the Croatian forward.

Budimir has reached several historical milestones for the club, including scoring Osasuna's 1,800th goal in the top flight. He currently holds the record for the most goals scored by an Osasuna player in a single Primera División campaign, having reached 21 goals. Additionally, he has become the club's most-capped foreign player with 228 appearances.

Due to his high impact on the pitch and his role as a veteran leader in the locker room, Osasuna's sporting management is expected to begin formal negotiations to secure his continuity. His current contract runs until June 2027, but discussions are anticipated to ensure the striker remains in Pamplona.
