Antecima Monte Meabé Hiking Trail in Italy Offers Matterhorn Views

The Antecima Monte Meabé is a moderate‑difficulty hiking route in the Aosta Valley, Italy, that ascends to a summit overlooking Torgnon. The trail starts at a small parking area in Chantorné and initially follows the same path as the Col Fenêtre trail. Hikers cover about 5.6 km (3.5 mi) with an elevation gain of roughly 692 m (2,270 ft) and can expect a round‑trip duration of around three and a half hours.

On clear days the summit provides panoramic views of the Matterhorn and the Monte Rosa massif. The route is marked as trail numbers 82, 83 and 8, and the highest point reaches 2,542 m (8,340 ft). Walkers are advised to wear sturdy shoes and carry water, as none is available along the path.
