Antena 3 series ‘Las hijas de la criada’ achieves successful premiere

The television series ‘Las hijas de la criada’, based on the novel by Planeta Prize winner Sonsoles Ónega, has achieved significant success following its premiere on Antena 3. The drama, set in the early 20th century, follows the Valdés family saga across locations in Galicia, Madrid, the Canary Islands, and colonial Cuba.

The plot centers on a secret established seventeen years prior when Renata, a maid, exchanged her newborn daughter for the child of Inés Valdés to ensure the infant would have a better life. In the second episode, Inés faces financial instability in Cuba, while in Galicia, Renata receives news that threatens to reveal her long-held secret.

The series debuted with a 12% audience share, marking it as a successful launch for the network. Cast members, including Alain Hernández and Carlota Baró, recently attended a premiere event at the FesTVal festival in Vitoria.
