Antena Group apologizes after vulgar message targeting Pro TV appears at corporate event

An inappropriate incident occurred during Antena Group’s annual celebration held on October 1 at the Știrbey Estate in Buftea. During the event, which was attended by hundreds of industry professionals, advertising clients, and media agency representatives, a vulgar message directed at rival broadcaster Pro TV was projected onto large screens.

The graphic, which utilized artificial intelligence, featured an image of Antena Group General Director Sorin Alexandrescu accompanied by uncensored, offensive text targeting Pro TV. The projection lasted only a few seconds before being removed.

Antena Group officially addressed the incident, describing it as a “very uninspired joke” created by a member of the technical team using AI. The company stated that the gesture does not represent the group's position and expressed sincere regret. The employee responsible has reportedly been sanctioned.
