Antequera PSOE urges September start for agricultural employment works

In Antequera, the PSOE has called on the City Council to begin works for the upcoming Agricultural Employment Promotion Program (PFEA) in September. The party aims to ensure that construction and maintenance activities do not overlap with peak agricultural campaigns, which could disrupt local farming operations.

The projected investment for the 2026-2027 PFEA in Antequera totals 1.96 million euros. While the PSOE attributes any potential delays to the current PP administration, local officials have previously noted delays regarding central government resolutions and funding amounts. The mayor has expressed a willingness to postpone works to avoid conflict with agricultural schedules, provided central administration approval is secured to avoid penalties.
