Anthbot N8 robotic mower features leaf collection capabilities
The Anthbot N8 is a smart robotic mower designed for areas up to 1,500 m². Unlike standard models that primarily mulch, the N8 features a 23-liter collection box that allows it to collect grass clippings and vacuum leaves. It utilizes Full-Band-RTK and Dual-Vision navigation, with AI capabilities intended to recognize up to 1,000 different objects. While tests show a clean cut, the device may struggle with precision at edges and can occasionally bump into objects during turns.
Regarding seasonal maintenance, experts advise robotic mower users to adjust settings during high summer to prevent lawn damage. To avoid grass burns and root weakness caused by heat and drought, it is recommended to increase the cutting height to approximately four centimeters and reduce mowing frequency. Experts from the Bayerische Landesanstalt für Weinbau und Gartenbau and Fringszu suggest mowing once or twice a week, ideally outside of peak sun hours, and ensuring regular irrigation to maintain lawn density and prevent weed growth.
