Anthem Sports sets $30‑$50 million price range for potential sale of TNA Wrestling
Anthem Sports & Entertainment President Len Asper has indicated a $30 million floor for any potential sale of its TNA Wrestling subsidiary, with a preferred valuation of $40‑$50 million. The higher price reflects toxic debt on Anthem’s books and the value of TNA’s television agreement with AMC, which provides guaranteed revenue and option years that could increase future worth. AMC also retains a right of first refusal on TNA’s next media‑rights negotiation, adding complexity for any buyer.
In 2024, a consortium led by Scott D’Amore offered roughly $10 million, valuing TNA between $7 million and $12 million. Anthem rejected that offer outright and has not presented a counterproposal. Although Anthem has announced workforce reductions aimed at streamlining operations, there is no indication that a sale is imminent, and the profitability of TNA under Anthem remains unverified.
The disclosed price range suggests Anthem believes the company’s value has risen substantially since the prior offer, driven largely by the AMC deal and potential sponsorship growth.
