Anthem Wrestling Exhibitions and Gail Kim to return to court
A status conference has been scheduled for November 20 in the Nashville Chancery Court regarding the ongoing legal dispute between Anthem Wrestling Exhibitions, LLC, and Gail Kim. This marks the third such conference since July.
The conflict originated after Kim’s departure from TNA in March 2025. In early 2026, Kim indicated she might pursue legal claims under the Florida Private Whistleblower Act and the Civil Rights Act, though specific allegations have not been detailed.
Anthem filed a lawsuit in January 2026 seeking to establish that Kim was an independent contractor rather than an employee. The company argues that her contract requires disputes to be litigated in Tennessee rather than Florida. To support its position, Anthem cited Kim’s lack of company office space, her receipt of 1099 tax forms, and her participation in external projects such as ‘The Amazing Race Canada’ and ‘The Traitors Canada’.
