While acknowledging that the outcomes are entertainment-based, Bowens noted that performers must maintain intense cardiovascular conditioning and coordination.

Bowens detailed the significant physical impact of his career, citing injuries including a torn meniscus, multiple concussions, and chronic neck pain. He described the physical consequences as very real, noting that matches often leave him unable to get out of bed.

Reflecting on his career path from collegiate baseball to the ring, Bowens also highlighted the diversity within AEW. He described the roster as a melting pot of nationalities and identities, including Black, Japanese, and Islander performers, as well as members of the LGBTQ+ community.
