Anthony Edwards faces defensive expectations for Timberwolves

Minnesota Timberwolves head coach Chris Finch has identified defensive consistency as a primary goal for Anthony Edwards this season. Finch noted that Edwards must return his defensive performance to the levels seen two years ago. To facilitate this, the team aims to utilize Edwards more off the ball, potentially reducing his offensive workload and allowing him to conserve energy for the defensive end.

In other NBA news, Houston Rockets player Amen Thompson expressed his desire to return to the All-Defensive team following a season where he missed out on honors despite high defensive metrics. Thompson recently signed a five-year, $208 million contract extension with the Rockets.
