Anthony Edwards ordered to pay $14,000 monthly in child support

Minnesota Timberwolves star Anthony Edwards has been ordered by a court to pay $14,000 per month in child support for his son, Amir, born in 2023. The payment amount was determined based on Edwards’ reported monthly income of approximately $4.8 million. The mother, Alexandria Desroches, reportedly earns roughly $1,016 per month.

During court proceedings, Edwards testified under oath that he has never met Amir in person and does not intend to seek parental rights or visitation. In addition to the monthly support, the judge ordered Edwards to secure a $2.6 million life insurance policy naming Desroches as the primary beneficiary and to cover $21,000 in her legal fees.

This ruling follows a separate child support order from a Georgia court, which required Edwards to pay $3,222 per month to Ayesha Howard for their daughter, Aubri. Edwards, a prominent NBA player currently under a $244.6 million contract, is reported to have four children with four different women.
