Anthony Edwards ordered to pay $14,000 monthly in child support
NBA star Anthony Edwards has been ordered to pay $14,000 per month in child support to Alexandria Desroches for their son, Amir, born in 2023. The court determined the amount based on Edwards’ significant income, which is reported to be approximately $4.8 million monthly. This figure is substantially higher than the standard $3,200 monthly support amount, as the court considered Edwards’ lifestyle and financial capacity.
During court proceedings, Edwards testified under oath that he has never met Amir in person and does not intend to seek parental rights or visitation. In addition to the monthly payments, the court ordered Edwards to maintain a $2.6 million life insurance policy naming Desroches as the primary beneficiary and to cover over $21,000 in her legal fees.
This ruling follows a separate child support case involving Edwards and Ayesha Howard, the mother of his daughter, Aubri Summers. In that instance, a Georgia judge ordered him to pay $3,222 per month. Edwards, a key player for the Minnesota Timberwolves, is currently under a five-year, $244 million contract extension.
