Anthony Gordon claims Barcelona move highlights his technical intelligence

England international Anthony Gordon has stated that his move from Newcastle United to Barcelona has changed how his footballing abilities are perceived. The 25-year-old winger, who joined the Spanish club in a high-profile transfer, believes that while his time in the Premier League emphasized his speed and aggression, the technical demands of Barcelona's style are highlighting his intelligence and technical quality.

Gordon has made several appearances for Barcelona, recording multiple assists despite yet to score his first league goal. His teammate, Fermin Lopez, noted that Gordon has been a surprising addition to the squad, admitting he had not closely watched the winger during his time at Newcastle.

Gordon compared his experience to that of Harry Kane, noting how moving abroad can lead to a greater appreciation of a player's full skill set. He expressed a desire to experience the highest level of football outside of England to demonstrate a broader range of abilities.
