Anthony Gordon finds success at Barcelona and with England

England winger Anthony Gordon is experiencing a career resurgence following his £69.3 million transfer from Newcastle United to Barcelona. Since joining the Catalan club, Gordon has made seven appearances across all competitions, recording four assists.

Gordon has also become a key figure for the England national team under manager Thomas Tuchel. He has scored in three of his last four matches for the Three Lions, including goals against Argentina in the World Cup semi-final and the Czech Republic in a recent fixture. Tuchel has praised the winger's ability to convert chances.

Reflecting on his transition, Gordon suggested that while Premier League supporters primarily valued his speed and pressing capabilities, Barcelona fans and teammates have shown greater appreciation for his technical quality and football intelligence. He noted that playing in a different style in Spain has allowed his tactical IQ to be more widely recognized.
