Oscar-winning actor Anthony Hopkins is releasing his debut classical album, ‘Life Is a Dream’, on August 21 through Decca Classics. The 88-year-old composer has been writing music for several decades, noting that music was his ‘first love’ and vocation.

The album features 12 compositions that reflect Hopkins’ childhood memories and upbringing in Wales. The recording sessions took place in April at London’s Alexandra Palace.

For this project, Hopkins collaborated with conductor Gustavo Dudamel and the Philharmonia Orchestra. Other featured musicians include Argentine pianist Sergio Tiempo and Venezuelan cellist Gregorio Nieto.
