Anthony Joshua prioritized UK fight over larger US offers for Fury bout

Promoter Eddie Hearn has revealed that Anthony Joshua previously declined significant financial offers to pursue a mega-fight against Tyson Fury in the United States. Hearn stated that Joshua prioritized fighting in Britain over the higher earnings available in America, citing social media support and long-term career principles as key factors in the decision.

Despite recent vulnerabilities, including being dropped twice by Kristian Prenga in a July clash in Jeddah, Prenga remains optimistic about Joshua’s prospects. Prenga, who was stopped by Joshua in the second round of that bout, believes Joshua possesses the physicality and skillset necessary to reclaim a heavyweight world title and predicts Joshua will emerge victorious in a potential showdown against Fury.
