The highly anticipated heavyweight boxing match between Anthony Joshua and Tyson Fury is approaching, though details regarding the venue and timing remain unconfirmed. While promoter Eddie Hearn and Joshua have pushed for a UK location such as Wembley Stadium, reports suggest the bout may instead take place in New York City to accommodate global broadcasting interests and peak US viewing times.

Former trainer Rob McCracken noted that both fighters may require more time to prepare, stating, “Anything can happen in heavyweight boxing... it just depends when the fight takes place and what preparation the fighters have.” Meanwhile, former boxer Dave Allen expressed fatigue regarding the long-delayed matchup, suggesting the contest is more about legacy than determining the best heavyweight, given that both athletes are nearing the end of their careers.

Both fighters enter the negotiations following recent performances: Joshua secured a second-round stoppage against Kristian Prenga after surviving two first-round knockdowns, while Fury recently defeated Polish fighter Mariusz Wach.
