The 1958 Western 'Man from the West', directed by Anthony Mann, is scheduled for broadcast on Arte. Starring Gary Cooper as Link Jones, the film follows a former bank robber who has become a respected member of a village community.

The plot intensifies when Jones is caught in an ambush led by Dock Tobin, an old criminal acquaintance. To protect his new life, Jones must navigate a final deal and confront his past.

While the film's innovative moral complexity and the protagonist's internal conflict initially met with lukewarm reception from American audiences at its premiere, it has since gained critical recognition. The film currently holds a 7.0 rating on IMDb and positive reviews on Rotten Tomatoes.
