Anthony Parrish convicted of attempted murder in Crawford shooting

Anthony Parrish, 56, of Middletown, has been convicted on multiple charges including second-degree attempted murder, first-degree assault, and various weapons and controlled substance offenses. The conviction follows a June 6, 2024, shooting in the Town of Crawford where the victim was shot twice in the head.

The victim survived the attack by crawling to a main road and flagging down assistance to call 911. Investigators identified Parrish after a Crawford Police Sergeant reviewed body camera footage from the previous day, which captured the license plate of a motorbike Parrish had been riding at the victim's property.

Parrish was later located by a Middletown Police Officer at a bus stop. During his arrest, authorities recovered a duffle bag containing the firearm used in the shooting and narcotics, both of which contained Parrish's DNA. He faces 25 years in prison.
