Anthony Richardson is currently competing for a roster spot with the Indianapolis Colts following a preseason loss to the Falcons. During the game, Richardson completed three of nine passes for 24 yards and was sacked twice. His performance comes amid ongoing speculation regarding his future with the team, especially after requesting a trade earlier this offseason.

Colts assistant General Manager Ed Dodds indicated the team intends to carry three capable quarterbacks, which may see Richardson and Riley Leonard serve as backups to Daniel Jones.
