Anthony Scaramucci pushes CLARITY Act to keep US crypto leadership

Anthony Scaramucci, founder and partner of SkyBridge Capital, warned that political delays could cause the United States to lose its edge in digital finance. He urged Congress to approve the CLARITY Act, a bipartisan bill intended to create a clear regulatory framework for the cryptocurrency sector and to protect consumers.

Scaramucci said President Donald Trump is likely to sign a newly negotiated bipartisan ethics provision attached to the bill, which could clear the way for a Senate vote before the August recess. Market data shows the odds of the bill’s passage this year have fallen to about 23%, prompting stakeholders such as Grayscale Investments to request an expedited floor vote.

If enacted, the CLARITY Act would standardize rules for crypto businesses, aiming to keep innovation in the United States rather than seeing it shift abroad.
