Anthony Vaccarello to depart Saint Laurent after ten years
Anthony Vaccarello is stepping down as the creative director of Saint Laurent after a decade-long tenure. The Kering-owned fashion house confirmed that his departure follows his final Spring 2027 runway show in Paris.
Vaccarello took the helm in 2016, succeeding Hedi Slimane. His era was characterized by a shift toward Parisian glamour, featuring sharp tailoring, androgynous silhouettes, and a focus on liberated sensuality. His work included the introduction of the Opyum shoe and high-profile runway presentations in locations such as the Agafay desert.
Luca de Meo, CEO of Kering, expressed gratitude for Vaccarello’s contributions, noting that his creative vision helped strengthen the influence of the couture house. Saint Laurent has stated that new creative leadership will be announced in the near future, though no successor has been named.
