Anthrax releases new concept album ‘Cursum Perficio’

New York thrash metal veterans Anthrax have released their new concept album, ‘Cursum Perficio’. This marks the band’s first studio release since 2016’s ‘For All Kings’. The album features a lineup consisting of Joey Belladonna on vocals, Charlie Benante on drums, Scott Ian and Jonathan Donais on guitars, and Frank Bello on bass.

The new record is described as a heavy and fast-paced work that draws inspiration from the band’s own sound, hardcore, and groove metal. Notable tracks include ‘It’s for the Kids’, ‘Infectious’, ‘N. Y. C 93’ and ‘Watch it Go’. Critics have noted the album’s musical variety, balancing aggression with melody and personal, mature lyrical perspectives.

Additionally, the underground band Devil Master, originating from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, continues to make an impact within the American black metal scene.
