Anthrax to release first studio album in a decade

Thrash metal veterans Anthrax are set to release their twelfth studio album, titled ‘Cursum Perficio’, on September 18. This marks the band's first studio record in ten years, following 2016's ‘For All Kings’.

Guitarist Scott Ian has indicated that the release will be supported by an extensive tour beginning in January. While there are no immediate plans for a return to Brazil this year, Ian confirmed that discussions are underway to include Brazil in the tour schedule for 2027.

The new album features tracks such as the lead single ‘It’s For the Kids’ and an atmospheric intro titled ‘Persistence of Memory’. The music is described as maintaining the band's signature heavy riffing while incorporating modern edges.
