Anthropic CEO calls for slower AI development pace

Anthropic CEO Dario Amodei has called for a slowdown in the pace of new AI model development, citing growing concerns regarding the “serious” risks AI poses to humans. Despite this stance on development speed, Amodei noted that businesses have currently utilized only about 5% to 10% of the potential value offered by existing AI technology.

In a strategic shift, Anthropic and Salesforce have formed a partnership known as ‘Claudeforce.’ This collaboration aims to evolve traditional enterprise software into an agentic environment where AI agents can perform reasoning and execution within business rules. Through this partnership, Salesforce users can perform data updates and actions directly via the Claude interface without logging into Salesforce manually. The initiative includes 37 pre-built sales skills and plans to expand into customer service, marketing, and healthcare workflows.
