Anthropic Claude Dashboards enables natural language data querying

Anthropic’s Claude Dashboards feature allows users to connect AI capabilities to various data sources to generate insights through natural language queries. One implementation involves connecting Claude to Power BI semantic models using a local Model Context Protocol (MCP) bridge and the Power BI REST API. This setup enables the AI to read model metadata, execute DAX queries, and build dashboards while honoring existing row-level security through Microsoft Entra authentication.

For marketing professionals, the tool supports connections to data warehouses such as Amazon Redshift, BigQuery, ClickHouse, Databricks, and Snowflake, as well as applications like Salesforce. Rather than simply requesting charts, users are encouraged to ask complex questions to drive actionable outcomes. The feature is currently in beta for Pro, Max, Team, and Enterprise plans, with Enterprise users requiring administrative activation in organization settings.
