Anthropic expands Claude Fable 5 access to Max and Team Premium plans

Anthropic announced that, from 20 July 2026, its latest AI model Claude Fable 5 will be included in the Claude Max and Team Premium subscription tiers. Users on these plans can run the model but their weekly usage will be capped at 50 % of the standard limit for the plan.

Subscribers of Claude Pro and Team Standard will continue to access Fable 5 through usage‑credits pricing and will receive a one‑time $100 credit to offset the cost. The company said the revised rollout follows an earlier chaotic launch, a temporary suspension ordered by the U.S. government, and demand that far exceeded expectations. Anthropic highlighted that the gradual, tiered release is intended to ensure stable performance while expanding access to the model’s advanced reasoning capabilities.
