Anthropic introduces Claude Tag AI assistant for Slack teams

Anthropic, the AI firm founded by former OpenAI executives Dario and Daniela Amodei, has become a leading player in the sector, valued at about €830 billion and included in the "MANGOS" group of AI giants. The company, which was created to emphasize safety and alignment, now offers a new product called Claude Tag. Claude Tag integrates Anthropic's Claude chatbot directly into Slack, allowing users to mention @Claude in a channel to assign tasks, break work into steps, and automatically post results in thread form. The assistant can retain context across conversations, access authorized data from other channels, and operate in an ambient mode that proactively reminds teams of pending items. Currently available in beta to Anthropic Enterprise and Team plan customers, the feature requires a Slack workspace and subscription, with plans to expand beyond Slack in the future.
