Anthropic invests $100M in new academy to train 10,000 AI engineers

Anthropic has announced a $100 million investment to establish the Claude Frontier Academy, an initiative designed to address the global shortage of specialized talent capable of deploying artificial intelligence at scale. The company aims to train 10,000 “frontier deployed engineers” by the end of 2027.

The program utilizes a residency model similar to medical training, where engineers undergo intensive simulated enterprise deployments followed by a 12-week period of real-world casework and assessment. The goal is to develop professionals who can integrate agentic systems into business processes, products, and services.

Initial cohorts will include technical professionals from several major global organizations, including Accenture, Morgan Stanley, Novo Nordisk, Bain, Deloitte, and McKinsey. This expansion comes as Anthropic prepares for a potential initial public offering, following reports of significant revenue growth.
