Anthropic launches Claude for Teachers AI platform for US K‑12 educators

Anthropic has introduced Claude for Teachers, a specialised version of its Claude AI assistant designed for K‑12 teachers in the United States. The service gives verified educators free access to Claude’s premium features, including lesson‑plan generation, differentiated content creation, and analysis of attendance or assessment data. It connects to the Learning Commons database to align output with the academic standards of all 50 states and incorporates curricular resources such as OpenSciEd and Illustrative Mathematics, as well as tools like Canva Education and TeachFX. Privacy is emphasized: Anthropic says data supplied by teachers will not be used to train its models and the offering complies with the federal FERPA law. The free‑for‑a‑year access is available to teachers who register before 30 June 2027.
