Anthropic is recruiting an Administrative Business Partner for its London office with an annual salary of £145,000, approximately €172,000. The role involves managing calendars, travel arrangements, and email inboxes for commercial executives.

The high salary, which nearly matches the pay of the executives being assisted, highlights the current gap between AI capabilities and human judgment. While Anthropic CEO Dario Amodei has previously estimated that AI could replace 10% to 20% of administrative roles within one to five years, the company still requires human oversight for tasks requiring nuance.

Industry experts note that while AI can organize data and schedules, it currently lacks the ability to interpret social environments or exercise critical judgment during high-stakes business interactions, such as deciding when to intervene during contract negotiations.
