Anthropic targets $2 trillion IPO valuation amid investor meetings

Anthropic is preparing for a potential initial public offering (IPO) that could become one of the largest in history. Chief Financial Officer Krishna Rao has begun preliminary meetings with prospective investors to discuss the company's market position, management, and Claude AI models, though formal valuation discussions have not yet commenced.

Some investors are targeting an IPO valuation of $2 trillion or more, potentially aiming for a listing in October 2026. This target is supported by projections that the company could reach annual revenues of $100 billion to $120 billion by the end of 2026. Anthropic recently reported an annualized revenue run rate exceeding $47 billion.

In a recent Series H funding round, Anthropic raised $65 billion at a post-money valuation of $965 billion. The company also disclosed $15 billion in committed investments from infrastructure partners, including $5 billion from Amazon. Anthropic filed a confidential draft registration statement with the SEC in June 2026.
