Anthropic targets $2 trillion Nasdaq IPO amid strong revenue growth

Anthropic, the developer of the Claude AI chatbot, is preparing for a massive initial public offering (IPO) on the Nasdaq, with a potential valuation reaching approximately $2 trillion. The company has reportedly selected Nasdaq as its listing venue and is targeting a capital raise of up to $100 billion, which could make it one of the largest IPOs in history.

Financial indicators suggest strong momentum for the AI firm. Anthropic’s annualized revenue run rate surpassed $65 billion by late July, and the company expects to achieve its second consecutive quarter of positive adjusted operating income. Gross margins are reported to exceed 80% before accounting for model training costs and revenue sharing with partners such as Amazon.

Nvidia is reportedly in discussions to participate in the IPO as an anchor investor, with a potential commitment of up to $10 billion. This would deepen the existing strategic relationship between the chipmaker and one of its largest customers. Anthropic has also secured significant computing resources through various deals, including a $13.7 billion GPU services agreement with RUM Group and substantial capacity commitments through Microsoft Azure and other cloud providers.
