Anthropic reports massive AI spending as Vertiv expands Slovakian production

Anthropic has reported a significant revenue surge to nearly $4.6 billion in 2025, a twelvefold increase from the previous year. However, the company also disclosed a massive net loss of $42 billion. Much of this loss is attributed to $34 billion in non-cash accounting costs related to the valuation of financial instruments. Excluding these, the operating loss stands at over $8 billion, driven by $7.33 billion in investments in computing power and infrastructure. Anthropic plans to invest $518 billion in cloud services and computing capacity in the coming years, with an IPO valuation potentially exceeding $2 trillion.

Meanwhile, Vertiv is expanding its production campus in Nové Mesto nad Váhom, Slovakia. The investment aims to meet the rising demand for data center infrastructure, specifically for artificial intelligence and high-performance computing. The expansion will increase capacity for power systems, switchgear, and thermal management technologies, including liquid cooling solutions. Vertiv intends to develop the site into an integrated manufacturing and technology center to shorten delivery times and strengthen the supply chain within the EMEA region.
