Anthropic revenue run rate hits $65B amid potential $1T IPO

Anthropic is experiencing rapid financial growth, with its annualized revenue run rate reportedly exceeding $65 billion as of late July 2026. This represents a sevenfold increase from the previous year. The company's second-quarter revenue reportedly surpassed $11.5 billion, a more than 14-fold increase compared to the same period in 2025. Anthropic has also reported positive adjusted operating income and positive operating cash flow.

As the AI lab prepares for a potential initial public offering (IPO) as early as fall 2026, market valuations are being closely watched, with some projections placing the company near a $1 trillion valuation. Anthropic has projected revenues between $190 billion and $200 billion for 2028.

The potential IPOs of both Anthropic and OpenAI are expected to trigger a massive wave of philanthropy. Estimates suggest these moves could unlock approximately $430 billion for charitable causes. Anthropic's seven co-founders have pledged to donate 80% of their wealth, which is expected to result in roughly $110 billion in donations. OpenAI's non-profit foundation, which holds 26% of the company's stock, could also contribute an estimated $260 billion to philanthropic efforts.
