Anthropic reaches $965 billion valuation and secures $35 billion AI‑compute financing

Anthropic announced a $65 billion funding round that raised its post‑money valuation to $965 billion, overtaking rival OpenAI. The round follows rapid revenue growth, with the company reporting $47 billion in annualized recurring revenue and an 80‑fold increase in usage in Q1 2026.

In parallel, the AI lab secured a $35 billion infrastructure deal backed by Apollo Global Management and Blackstone. The financing will fund the purchase of Broadcom custom chips and networking equipment, delivering an initial one‑gigawatt of compute capacity and targeting over 20 gigawatts by 2028.

Anthropic is also expanding the enterprise reach of its Claude AI models through a multi‑year global partnership with DXC Technology.
