Anthropic tests ‘Claude Money’ personal finance feature

Anthropic is reportedly testing a new personal finance feature called ‘Claude Money’ within its iOS application. Discovered via interface elements in the mobile app, the feature includes an onboarding prompt that invites users to ‘Understand your money with Claude’ by connecting their bank accounts.

If implemented, the tool would allow the AI assistant to access transaction data directly, enabling users to analyze spending habits, identify recurring payments, summarize balances, and assist with budgeting. This would remove the need for users to manually upload PDFs or bank statements.

While Anthropic has not officially confirmed the feature or a release date, the development follows similar moves by competitors. OpenAI already offers a ‘Finances’ function in ChatGPT that uses Plaid to connect bank accounts, credit cards, and brokerage accounts to answer questions regarding investments and net worth.
