Anthropic to increase Claude Code weekly limits by 25% in September

Anthropic has announced that it will permanently increase the standard weekly usage limits for its AI coding tool, Claude Code, by 25% starting September 14. This change applies to Pro, Max, Team, and seat-based Enterprise plans.

While the new limits represent a 25% increase over the previous standard, they will actually constitute a roughly 17% reduction compared to the temporary 50% increase currently being offered as a promotion. Anthropic noted that the transition is intended to help build a sustainable service infrastructure. The company is also working on new features to improve the visibility and control of usage.

Anthropic’s ability to manage capacity has been supported by compute partnerships, including a deal with SpaceX that provides significant power and access to over 220,000 NVIDIA GPUs. Despite these resources, the company continues to manage capacity constraints through tiered usage systems.
