Anthropic unveils Claude Science AI platform for pharma research

Anthropic announced Claude Science, an AI‑powered workbench built around its Claude model and aimed at scientists in the pharmaceutical and biotech sectors. The platform integrates literature search, data analysis, code execution, visualization and manuscript preparation in a single interface, supporting genomics, single‑cell, proteomics and cheminformatics with access to more than 60 scientific databases.

Claude Science is presented as a tool to streamline laboratory workflows, keep data on‑premises, and provide reproducible, traceable results. Anthropic says the system will help accelerate the discovery of new medicines, initially focusing on so‑called “neglected diseases” that receive limited commercial investment. The company has not disclosed specific partners or licensing arrangements for any compounds that might emerge from the platform.
